Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation at Pisgah Manor is about moving forward. Adopting a positive daily plan administered by professional physical, speech and occupational therapists makes a significant difference in your health and wellbeing. Individualized programs, a state-of-the-art therapy gym and proven techniques are used to address each individual need following surgery, stroke, cardiac event or accident. Advanced rehab equipment including the Alter G® anti-gravity treadmill, the NuStep® Tr4 recumbent cross-trainers and the Omni VR (Virtual Reality) training center are all designed to assist in a full and rapid recovery. Aquatic therapy in the Pisgah Valley Wellness Center is also available to treat arthritis and back pain, as well as strengthening joints.

Therapies help you regain control of your self and your life. Occupational therapy at Pisgah Valley is focused on helping you manage day-to-day tasks such as bathing, personal grooming, dressing and eating, as well as regaining hobbies and interests. Physical therapy centers on strengthening your body to improve walking and daily mobility, as well as the use of prosthetics. Speech therapists help residents regain the use of language and improve their voice as well as swallowing ability.
