Pisgah Manor receives grant from the State of NC for enhanced dining program
Pisgah Manor is the proud recipient of an $8700 grant from the State of North Carolina Division of Health Services Regulation. This grant will be used to enhance the dining experience for the residents of Pisgah Manor. Pisgah Manor provides skilled nursing care to 118 residents and has a goal to provide “person-centered care” which takes the emphasis off the institution and places it on the individual needs and desires of residents. Our current goal is to bring more life, vitality, and a sense of community to Pisgah Manor through the dining program.
The grant money will allow Pisgah Manor to implement two new components to it’s dining program. The first will offer a morning café where residents can get up at their leisure and have a continental breakfast while reading the paper, watching the news, or chatting with friends. The second component will include having buffet dining for lunch and supper so residents will be able to make their food choices directly at meal time. We look forward to beginning these new dining options this fall so our residents can live life to the fullest.
