Joy Worley, housekeeper, was selected as the winner in the District I Fabulous Fifty Award program and was recognized at a banquet held at the Grand Bohemiam Hotel in Asheville on October 18th.

The Fabulous 50 awards program, launched in 2001, is an important part of the long term care community's effort to recognize the extraordinary contributions of all front-line staff to the quality of care and quality of life of individuals residing in skilled nursing facilities. The Fabulous 50 are nominated by their co-workers for this award. Each person selected is honored at a dinner celebration, complete with a local celebrity host. Recognition includes a certificate from Governor Beverly Perdue.
